Municipal Planning Commission (MPC)

The Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) is an advisory committee of the Town of Penhold Council. The commission consists of three members of Council and two members of the public. Members are appointed annually by Council at the organizational meeting in October. The commission provides advice and recommendations on land use, planning, development and subdivision issues and applications referred to it by the Development Authority. The commission renders decisions in accordance with the provisions of the Town's Land Use Bylaw, the Municipal Government Act and any other relevant bylaws, policies, plans or regulations. Meetings are typically held on as need basis.
