Business Licenses

Business is defined as the activity of providing goods and services. A business can be a commercial or industrial undertaking or a profession, trade, occupation or calling. The Town of Penhold encourages business activity in support of the needs of the general public.

As in all communities, a business license is necessary for any person to operate a business or advertise services within the community. The Planning & Development department processes many applications for business licenses for various business-related activities provided by non-profit organizations, service industries, home-based businesses or major enterprises.

Once a business license application is reviewed, processed and issued, it will become valid during the calendar year until December 31st. Renewal notices will be sent to those businesses having previously applied with the Town of Penhold to confirm their intent to continue to provide goods and services to residents and business owners in the community.
