Subdivision Appeal Board

Apply to serve on the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board for the Town of Penhold.

The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) hears appeals regarding decisions made by the Town's subdivision and development authorities, renders decisions based on the evidence presented and exercises powers and duties in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Government Act. The SDAB holds public hearings as required.

Interested candidates must be 18 years or older, a resident of Penhold, cannot be employed by the Town of Penhold or be a member of the Municipal Planning Commission. Should be familiar with development related topics, have involvement in the community and possess experience in one or more of the following areas: urban planning, land use, development, engineering, construction and knowledge of community issues or operation of quasi-judical boards.

The Public Representatives must be willing to devote the necessary time to prepare for, attend and participate in the hearings together with the additional time required to draft and review any decisions.

Term: November 1, 2016 to October 31, 2017 with the opportunity for renewal.
