Food Bank Donating Tips
- Pasta (canned or dry)
- Pasta sauces
- Bathroom tissue
- Diapers
- Canned goods (beans, soups, stews, etc)
- Personal hygiene products
- Canned vegetables and fruit
- Canned meats and fish
- Cereals (hot and cold)
- Infant foods and baby formula
- Meat alternatives (peanut butter, soy, assorted nuts)

When possible, choose unbreakable containers as glass jars don’t always survive transport.

The donation bin is available in the Town Office year round during regular business hours. Donations are sent to the Red Deer Food Bank and Red Deer Christmas Bureau because those are the groups providing service to Penhold residents.

Bring your family down to the Multiplex Arena and enjoy Free Family Skating from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Little Shoppers area is a separate area within the gym for little ones to go do some shopping on their own, with the assistance of volunteers from the Church of Hope.  This is stocked with items from vendors in the market and everything in the Little Shoppers area is priced at either $5.00 or $10.00. This is a cash only activity.

The Vendor Market at Community Christmas is organized by volunteers from the Penhold & District Museum Society.

The Cookie Walk is organized by volunteers from the Penhold & District Museum Society.  All cookies are baked by local bakers and donated to the event.

They need YOU to share your home-baked cookies to help them raise funds to maintain the museum and Ice Cream Shack. If you would like to bake cookies for the Cookie Walk, please contact Wendy at wldodman@hotmail.com or 403-318-7373 to arrange to donate.

Cookies must not have nuts or icings containing eggs or dairy.
Cookies must be accompanied by a complete list of ingredients.
