Election Workers Needed

The Town of Penhold is currently seeking workers for the Monday, October 20, 2025, general municipal election.

Selected candidates will be required to manage the election process which includes greeting voters at their assigned voting stations, having strong organizational skills, asking questions of voters, assisting the voting process, and completing the required forms.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Available to work ELECTION DAY, Monday, October 20, 2025
  • Approximate hours are 9:30 AM to 10:30 PM
  • Available to attend an election training session prior to Election Day.

Please provide a letter outlining your experience either by email or drop it by the Town Municipal Offices (upstairs in the Multiplex), at 1 Waskasoo Avenue Penhold, AB T0M 1R0 no later than Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Election Workers play a key role in supporting and delivering a municipal election. The Town of Penhold is conducting the 2025 election for the offices of Mayor and Council and requires eight (8) Election Workers for Oct. 20, 2025, Election Day.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to print and speak fluently in English
  • Available for mandatory training
  • Available on Election Day
  • Confirm they are not actively involved in campaigning for any candidate(s)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information both discretely and in strict confidence
  • Have previous election working experience (not required)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Town of Penhold reserves the right to assign the role to a successful applicant it deems fit. When working the election the daily pay rate varies for each position.

All Election Workers must complete mandatory training in order to work during Election Day. Workers are paid to participate in training.

AVAILABLE SHIFTS

Election Worker shifts are required on Election Day and available to be scheduled between the hours of 9:30 am – 10:30 pm. Scheduled Shifts will be communicated to successful applicants prior to September 30, 2025.
